Filament Runout Sensor
A filament runout sensor is a feature in 3D printers that alerts the user or pauses the print job when it detects that the filament has run out or broken. A physical sensor detects the presence or absence of the filament and sends alerts or pauses the print accordingly.
The latest printers may use software algorithms to predict filament runout based on the initial input and usage patterns.
