Dual or Multi-extruder Setups
Dual or multi-extruder setups refer to 3D printers equipped with two or more extruders, allowing for the use of multiple filaments in a single print job.
- Dual-extruder: This setup contains two extruders, enabling the printing of two-color or two-material prints.
- Multi-extruder: These are setups with more than two extruders, offering even more versatility in color and material choices for a single print.
To create complex 3D printing projects, users can opt for dual or multi-extruder setups. However, beginners may want to start with single-extruder setups and gradually advance to multi-extruder projects as they become more comfortable with printing.
